HOTBuddy

 HOTBuddy is a complimentary service to the existing HOTEYE offerings to protect our main asset "our customers!".

HOTBuddy allows a user to assign two panic buttons to his own and family member mobile phones. This allows a single subscriber to include all his family member mobile phones. In case of emergency any family member mobile phone can used as a panic button! The panic messages are user defined and are sent to your nominated HOTBuddies.

In case of an emergency time is of the essence. Luckily we all have mobile phones and it is so easy to create your own emergency message and select your HOTBuddies". HOTEYE users are often farmers who have to leave their houses to respond to livestock alarms. This leaves them and their families at home exposed. By having panic buttons on your mobile phone at hand, help is just a button press away.

Example of use:
An example is where a farmer named James Cohen" of farm "Rosenveldt" would assign a security/medical emergency message "I need help"  to button 3 and a "Fire on farm" emergency message to button 9 on his and his family mobile phones. He can then select his closest neighbours as HOTBuddies as well as family members and farm workers. 

• In case of a medical or security emergency the farmer (and his house members) only have to press down button 3 on any of his own or family member mobile phones for 3 seconds. All his HOTBuddies will immediately receive a SMSes stating : "James Cohen 012345678 Rosenveldt - I need help".
• In case of fire the same farmer (and his house members) only have to press down button 9 on their mobile phones for 3 seconds. All his HOTBuddies will immediately receive a SMSes stating : "James Cohen 012345678 Rosenveldt - Fire on farm". 
   
  Note that the number of the phone from which the panic originated is also displayed in the message. This is to identify from which mobile phone the panic originated.

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS:

A)
- Assign the two HOTBuddy numbers: 0761754344 (Button 1 Message) and 0797172643 (Button 2 Message) to your mobile phone's buttons 3 and 9 respectively. This enables you to send two types of emergency messages. In case of emergency 1/2, press and hold the appropriate button 3/9 for 3 seconds. Your mobile phone will automatically make a dropped call after which your 'Known by name and surname', 'User mobile number', 'Address name' and 'Button 1/2 Message' will be sent to your 1-5 nominated HotBuddies. 

Note:
Enter all your own and house member mobile phone numbers under 'User mobile number/s' spaced by ; (xxxxxxxxxx;xxxxxxxxx) and make sure to assign HOTBuddy numbers to all those mobile phone buttons too.

B)
- Go to www.hoteye.co.za and select PC login under the "Login" drop down menu.
- Login with your normal username and password.
- Complete the form under "Manage", "HOTBuddy".
